Golden star Ganesh’s maiden production ‘Maleyali Jotheyali’ -running packed houses at 38 centers - will be screened at 10 centers USA from January 16 through Bevin Exports India Private Limited in association with Golden movies. ‘Maleyali Jotheyali’ will then move to countries like Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, Germany, UK, Hong Kong, Dubai, Holland. USA alone has 20000 Kannada speaking families according to a survey.

This is a joint venture and revenue sharing is 50:50 says Joel Sumanth Raj, director of Bevin Exports. Initially we are going with three prints and the subtitle for the film will be looked in to in the coming days to cater to the non Kannadigas said Raj.

Bevin Exports has marketed Kannada films like Abhi, Akash, Ajay, Rama Shama Bhama, Sathyavan Savitri, Mungaru Male, Raj The Showman before. As a part of the promotional activity in the international arena Joel has created a website for ‘Maleyali Jotheyali’.

Director Preetham Gubbi is happy for the film success and agrees that the film will soon have sub titles in English to attract larger audience. Krishna the ace cameraman opines the film seen by people abroad would give a feel of nativity and ambience.

The happiest lady is Shilpa Ganesh wife of Ganesh who floated Golden Movies and produced ‘Maleyali Jotheyali’. The rich returns from nearly 38 centers out of 40 centers released in the ‘A’ centres has put the producer Shilpa Ganesh on the comfort zone. The film recovered the cost of film of Rs.3.5 crores in just 10 days and it has already made Rs.3 crore profit. ‘Maleyali Jotheyali’ is the first hit of the year 2010 although the film was released in the second week of December 2009.

The response has been tremendous and there is no second opinion. We have groomed the film well and this is a film for the family. My husband Ganesh has audience abroad and releasing abroad is a step forward.
